| The firm has assisted many community based organizations realize their dream of a facility that will house their unique services. This often involves assisting local volunteer committees to pull together everyone’s vision for the project. From the new construction of a hub facility in Mitchell in 1994, Perth Care for Kids has expanded their operations throughout Perth County. Our office provided full architectural services for this 8,000 s,f, hub facility which included program space for administration, seminar, Toy Lending Library, Nursery School, Junior & Senior Preschool, Infant Area, Kitchen and Outdoor play. This project was completed in conjunction with the Ministry of Community & Social Services. The facility was attached to Upper Thames Elementary School. In 2005, Perth Care for Kids was interested in finding a permanent home for their child care services in Stratford. Our firm was again engaged by Perth Care for Kids to survey the former Falstaff Public School and provide a study with recommendations as to what would be required to convert the building into a fully functioning centre. Our firm was responsible for completing an official assessment of the Stratford Normal School building in order to assist the Board of Management in their planning and fund raising to preserve this historic building. The project included interior and exterior renovations and upgrades to the building for several clients including the Stratford/Perth Museum, The Stratford Festival of Canada, Gallery 96 and the Kiwanis Club’s Café—The Principal’s Pantry. Our firm worked with each individual group to meet their needs within the context of one facility. Recently, our firm has completed a new 7,600 s.f. community hall facility located in Brodhagen for the Municipality of West Perth.
